As we celebrate this Christmas and prepare for the New Year . I want us to reflect on a thought I will like to share, “Our Hope Still Lives”.
In Mathew 1:20-23, we come across the story of Joseph the earthly father of Jesus contemplating on the news of the mysterious pregnancy of Mary his betrothed. He was out of ideas and was also concerned about releasing the young woman to such legalistic society. They were unforgiving and knew would do worse things to her.
When all hope seemed lost , suddenly , the Bible said the angel , Gabriel who visited Mary came to Joseph and assured him that the Living God was behind this act. It relieved him and alleviated his concerns.
I want you to know that God is not the author of the present danger we see in our world today. He is not the reason why things a upside down in nations , cities and towns. He is not the reason why we have wars, civil unrests and inconsistencies in human behaviours , but he is certainly using them for our good. He will choose the most unusual, the odd in society and even what will affect the legalistic framework we have COMPLETELY.
I want you to remember God has a reason for the season it is still about Jesus Christ been born as the Saviour of Humanity and the whole universe. We shall continue to trust in Him and the hope He gives in these times. Keep that hope alive because OUR HOPE STILL LIVES. God bless you all . Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
